Experience the Lodge at Forest Grove

“The Last Best Place”

Our Lodge is located in Missoula in Western Montana, which is an outdoor enthusiasts’ paradise, we’d love to help you discover some of the many amazing experiences it has to offer!

Whitewater Rafting

We love our neighbors! Pangea River Rafting operates in the famous Alberton Gorge of the Clark Fork River just upstream of our lodge. They have options for all ages and experience levels. From big waves to relaxing wine floats they offer it all. Fun guides with great attitudes always make for a fun experience. If you are looking for a little excitement after a day of fishing this a trip that you definitely want to look into!

Hiking / Alpine Lakes

Mineral county is home to over 50 high mountain lakes. A well maintained tail system makes it super easy to get out and explore these high country gems. Jim Cyr is a wealth of knowledge on the area and he has a website that goes into great detail about the area. If you are interested its worth checking out!

Warmwater Fishing Trips

No doubt you are coming to Missoula to fly fish for trout. But did you know we also have some of the best Pike and Bass fishing in the country? These “warm” water species are thriving in Western Montana and provide some amazing fishing opportunities for the open minded angler. Pike fishing is exceptional early in the spring as the water temps start to rise and the fish begin to stock up on food prior to spawning. The smallmouth bass fishing kicks off in July and just keeps getting better until the end of September when the water temps begin to drop off.
